If you don't know who Arielle Elise is then please go check her out..she's an amazing photographer and has THE cutest family. She tweeted a link the other day called, "23 Signs You're Secretly An Introvert". Now, I'm not a secret introvert at all. I'm a proud introvert and I would shout it off a rooftop if I did that sort of thing. I read through this post and noticed that every one of these describes me exactly. Here are the top 5 that I can relate to the most.
1. You actively avoid any shows that might involve audience participation.
When I watch "Whose Line is it Anyway?" I always have to fast forward through the audience part. Also, I can't stand to watch LIVE shows like award shows. I WILL record it and watch it later or catch the highlights on Tumblr. I get so nervous for people.
2. You notice details that others don't.
I've noticed this about me for a VERY long time. Most of the time I won't say anything (because I'm an introvert). This one is a hard one to explain, but I will notice the couple arguing in the corner or the kid whose mom left him at the pool (true story).
3. You have a constant running inner monologue.
I never stop thinking. It's all in my head. When I lay down for bed at the end of the day, most of the time it's hard for me to settle because I can't stop thinking.
4. You're a writer
I may not write very well, but I would rather write than talk any day of the week. I'll choose texting over talking on the phone any day. I do want to get back into writing though!
5. You've been told to "come out of your shell"
Ah pretty much everyday. I'm always so tense and my family and friends tell me I need to relax and quit worrying so much. In school, I hated raising my hand because I didn't like to speak out loud. Participating in class is my worst fear... I hated that teachers had to give us a "participation grade"
Are you an introvert or extrovert? Maybe you're both!
